Yes. I have a very difficult time with that. I've been a Christian for 35 years and a pretty good student of the Bible. I know that the scripture makes it very clear (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). But I have a very hard time with it. What really bothers me is the ugly and quick to judge attitudes of some Christians on this site. Man, talk about being ashamed. I would rather tell an unbeliever that I really don't know and that it is God's department and they should go take the matter up with Him than to ever be so quick to tell them that "they're going to hell." I just can't say those words and deep in my heart I don't believe it- And especially when I see so much unhealthiness, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically among so many so called Christians. We are such a freakin mess and yet we have the audacity to go around and point the finger at others. It's no wonder that I see so many hateful attitudes toward Christians on this site. One of my favorite verses is John 3:17. It is my guiding principle as a Christian.

"17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

People need to be loved to the Savior not judged. Jesus was so cool. He loved people so much. He met needs in their life and was never pushy. He was so forgiving and compassionate to others. I get in such a good mood when I look at how cool my Savior is. And, I want to be like Him.

And here is something else to think about. Jesus never pointed the finger of condemnation and judgment at any common sinner in the New Testament. He always received them, forgave them and had compassion on them. The only people that He ever pointed his finger at and condemned were the legalistic, self-righteous, religious right of his day.

So, you're not alone. And reading your question let's me know that I'm not alone either. All I can say is- Be a lover like Jesus. He's our leader.

Sometimes I get sad when I think of people who probably won't be in heaven that I'd want to be there with us. If only they found Christianity as convincing as I do....

I know I'm a bad person for this but sometimes I'm glad that some (except the people I just mentioned above) of the non-believers will end up in Hell just so they see that they were wrong. And sometimes I don't want them to be saved just so I can be right and they can be wrong.

Well since our beliefs could be wrong here goes. The question should be what do the scriptures say. There was a reason Jesus gave the great commision. Not just for kicks.

"Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
- Mark 16:15

The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest"
- Matthew 9:37,38

"Why call you me, Lord, Lord,
and do not the things which I say?"
- Luke 6:46

If repentance wasn’t necessary for salvation, why then did Jesus command that repentance be preached to all nations (Luke 24:47)? With so many Scriptures speaking of the necessity of repentance for salvation, one can only suspect that those who preach salvation without repentance are strangers to repentance themselves, and thus strangers to true conversion.

I'm a Christian, and according to MY church ALL who do good works and are essentially good people will go to heaven. That is the meaning, the TRUE meaning of a generous, merciful, loving God.

Anyone who believes anything else has been told a tall tale and is just not thinking clearly.

As a Christian, I know my ticket's paid. As for others, I have a hard time with it too, but after all, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes unto the Father but through Me." That seems clear enough, unless there's some deeper meaning that I'm not picking up.

Yes I do. I know what the Bible and Jesus said but I also know our God is a kind, understanding, smart and loving God. Should those who follow a cult not be allowed a passage through the gates? These people really think they are in the truth but are miss guided. Should a person raised all his/her life in a world of hate with no fath be excluded? I do not buy it.

I know there will be those absalute blind fath followers that will get on this thread you started and quote you the Bible till their face is blue saying "no they will never go to heaven but do not buy it as our God is better than that.

I'm Christian, and I believe that everyone can/will go to heaven. No religion has the corner on heaven. God, or whatever your religion chooses to call him is about love and forgiveness. I don't see how you can be excluded because you were taught to know him by a different name.

No, because not even all Christians will go to heaven. Heaven is reserved for a select few. Non-believers will definitely not go to heaven, but not even all believers will. It is reserved for those who God has chosen.

There is a heaven, for a select crowd of chosen individuals, most of whom have already been chosen long, long ago, and no physical hell. Only eternal death, for those who live without giving thought to boundaries.

(Disclaimer: Just my beliefs!)

No one wants to believe that there really is a burning lake of fire and someone they know may spend eternity there, but...

If you believe the Bible is the word of God then you must believe that every word of it is true (He doesn't give you the option of picking and choosing just what you want); therefore, hell is real and there will be people in it.

Look at it this way, if I'm an atheist; I spend my entire life denying the existence of God and rejecting the invitation to me clearly written in scripture, then why would He to allow me to spend eternity in paradise with Him.
