I'm confused! Exactly what color are bluebirds??

Guy birds are bright blue.
Females are more brown.

Males are darker and females are lighter.

Blue bird chicks don't get their blue feathers for a few months, since some are born in the spring by the begining of summer they have sort of navy blue feathers mixed in with their brown feathers from a few days after birth. By fall nearly all their feathers are blue, they've also started developing the rose colored patch on their chest.

Males are bright blue on their backs and wings.
They have pink patch by their throat and their belly is a creamy sort of white.
I have 3 nests of them in my psture.
We put up nest boxes and they come every year and raise babies.
I have three babies in one box right outside the window of the computer room.
