Your teeth can move practically overnight when you loose a temporary crown. GET to the dentist TODAY! They would rather take 2 minutes to put the temp back in than 20 minutes trying to grind the permanent crown down until it fits in the space. You wouldn't think teeth can move that fast, but they can move a startling amount in just a couple of days. We are not talking about visible movement here, but even moving 0.2 millimeter is a lot when there is only 1 to 1.5 mm room in some spots after your tooth is prepared for a crown.

A week ago?!?!?! Oh, honey, I hope your real crown will still fit! Yes, you need to be wearing your temporary crown. You either to need to go to the dental office and have them re-cement it or to get you by until Monday, you can place Vasoline inside the temporary and that will give enough suction for a day or two.

You don't have to wait - Go back & they will reseat the temporary crown... No appointment necessary; it only takes a few minutes (of course, you may have to wait for them to fit you into their schedule).
OR, you can go to a drugstore & buy Temporary Dental Cement (I forget the brand name). Follow directions, clean & dry the surface.
Or, if you have any beeswax, you can use that, but that's more experimental. (Warm it up; I have used it; it takes experience).

Not in such a short amount of time. Any miniscule movement will be corrected by replacing the crown.
