yes i do,especially my tiny toy poodle. i love him to peices! he's spoilt rotten and it shows! i bathe him at least once a week i dress him up , he even has PJ's for bed, i put him to bed. he goes most everywhere with me. i hold him like a baby. i know what he is thinking and feeling, when he is scared or not feeling well. when he's being mean or just playing. my children dont get neglected and none of my family resents the way i spoil my dogs.

What does that even mean? Do I feed high quality, healthy, nutritious food, give lot of attention to, train and spend time just hanging out with my dogs? Yes. Do I take them to the vet when they are sick? Yep. Do I work with them so they can learn how to behave? Yes, absolutely. And I hope that everyone who has kids does these things with their kids as well.

But, if you mean do I spoil my dogs rotten and neglect training and socializing them because I feel they can never ever do anything wrong? That answer is no, absolutely not. But again, I wouldn't do that with a kid either, so maybe I do treat my dogs like children.

Yes, Tito The Cat is a child for both my wife and myself. But, Tito earns his living by loving us back. He hangs around with me during the day, and at night he goes to his human mother to keep her warm and rest up from a hard day of being an inside, outside cat.

Our last kid left the house and it was a very difficult transition for us after 28 years of having our boy at home. However, his girlfriend lived with us off and on for eight of those years.

I am happy to report that Tito has decided to stay at home when Ester and Eric get married in a couple of months, but after the wedding, Tito will be there to help organize our new life. It is a happy household with Margo, Cliff and Tito The Mosquito.

I am told that I do. I have been told that I treat him too good, but I don't think that that is possible. Every animal deserves to be happy, and to be able to provide that, is a pleasure. Dogs chose to be our companions thousands and thousands of years ago, and have lived with us since. They are loyal and loving, and deserve the same in return.

I have to say I see this from a different angle darlin'. Dogs are 'pack' animals by nature. You are like by your dog because he/she sees you as part of their "pack". As long as you love your dog, and remain a part of your dog's "pack" then he/she's not your child, but your friend and your companion. You are your dogs friend and companion. You're loving your dog as if he/she was your child is wonderful b/c he/she is your companion. In RETURN your dog has made you his "pack". Both of you take on a role for one another really...if that makes sense to you, i hope so. So what if your dog wears a sweater in the snow. lol. Do you let him lick you? Same thing hon. lol. Neither of you were designed for it, but adapt to your friendship.

to an extent. it should be treated as part of the family but you must realize a dog won't learn the same as children and you need to use proper commands to teach your dog. my dog has always been treated like part of the family and he has been a wonderful part of our family for over 10 years

Yes because if you treat it deferent then its kind of like a slave you own it then it won`t like you because you don`t treat it well if you treat it like a child then you will pay more attintion to it and thats what they need most

They are our furkids/furbabies. I love dogs and I think that they should be treated as well as if not better than children. Kids will betray you and steal from you. A dog will never do that. I will kiss and cuddle and sleep with my dog but one can't do that with their kids.
