I think everyone has repeated some mistake at one time or another...the only thing you can do about it is try to learn why you keep repeating the same actions and try to stop it from happening again. Good luck and don't worry too much.

Well, this is a potentially deep and intricate question and answer may be specific, person/situation related, or nebulous.
No 1 correct answer. You may not want to find the answer. Even when and if you find a specific answer, you may get greater insight into yourself, but it may not have the (supposed) "stuff" to alter or change the behaviour.
For me, who has the same problem, I believe it lies in my childhood, who had a father that always presented himself in the light that he was always right, always did the right thing, and had all these simple remedies to society's problems, that he uttered with a strong authoritative tone, that you did not qyuestion him. No one did. These answers were clever, in that it closed the issue, and you didn't have a window to debate.
So, my repeatin g the same mistakes, was a way of punishing myself, so he wopuld disapprove of me, in that way I was getting back at him. Though the only one really hurt by these repeated mistakes, is myself.
This took me years to figure out!

Because you're not learning from your mistakes. I don't know if this is a question about love but if it is you're probably battling a decision of the heart over the mind. It's easy to repeat our mistakes when emotions are involved. We know what is good for us but we keep repeating our mistakes nevertheless.

One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but exptecting different results.

DO BE HARD ON YOURSELF. Please don't buy into this softy, inclusive crappo that we are all ok just the way we are. We all must continue to grow and evolve- learn from our mistakes as well as our triumphs. Look to yourself to be the best you can be. If you don not learn from your mistakes, you are indeed a fool and destined for much misery and unhappiness.

Make a list of your mistakes & whenever you are going to make a decision, pull out the list & see how you handled the problem, or a similar one in the past. Then do the opposite!

Go lightly on yourself - you are human! Learn from your mistakes and try with all your heart to not repeat them, especially if they hurt others. Get better each day and rejoice in that. But forgive yourself, God does, and He knows you are quite beautiful as you are!
