i am both, i try to follow Christ, my God. and my best subject in school is science. the 2 are not in conflict. most people who say they are, dont understand the other. because if they understood both, they would know that there is no real conflict between them

I would rather be a man of science because it would be so exciting to do all kinds of experiments, to find out all the interesting qualities of this earth and the people in it. The best part of all is that I would have to keep learning about the physical world, would have to look deeper into the small structure to truly understand how things work. Once I began to study the quantum field I would find the intelligence and the absolutely amazing shifts in matter that would be unexplainable and would lead me to find the God in everything. I would then become a man of faith and have had all those wonderful experiences along the way. The man of faith might have a lifetime of getting to know the intricacies of God but the man of science would for sure.

I'd rather be a woman of both. Science has never proven the existence of somethings I believe, but faith alone is not a reason to believe. I could have faith that a man knows what he is talking about, but if he asks me to blow up a building to stop a bad thing from happening. Social science tells me that if I give a cause martyrs or make the issue a matter of faith, that gives it importance and apathy is the way to get rid of something. Causes die when they are no longer important to people in other words.

I can't see any reason to make the choice to be just one or the other. I think all modern humans are both by nature.

Science serves as an explanatory mechanism that makes the world understandable to people and soothes some of their anxieties. Faith is the subject of man's ultimate concern, about which science has little to say.

Science can only tell us what is; it can never tell us what should be.

I'd rather be a man of faith because science can't explain why certain things happen or prove why occurances happen. things happen for a reason and a person has to have faith in order to believe what science can't prove.

How about a man/woman of truth?! There are lots of truth's in science and in the Bible.

I am not going to be faithful if it doesn't seem truthful! Also I will not believe a scientific "theory" just because some one else thinks it is truth. Such as the ridiculous Evolution theory!

why can't you be both? science started as an attempt to explain the creation.
science started from spiritual belief in a god that created the universe, as an exploration of the creation and attempt to explain it.

Neither I would prefer to be a WOMAN, but at that I would want to be a woman of science because it is not bogus and completely provable.
