you should never eat to much of anything but fruit is a better choice to eat alot of cause most of it is full of water and will fill you up faster. but beware of the high sugar some fruit has if your diabetic. it just depends on the type of fruit you are talking about. don't forget about the acid content also that can with time tear up your stomach.
Dr.Ben Kim believes that it is dangerous, you can google his name and read up on his reasons.

Fruits and veggies are the best for you. But like anything else you have to eat them in moderation. Some contains suger and fats. So try to balance them out . To much a good thing can be costly. I love both and eat alot of salads. PEM

It depends on the kind of fruit. Certain fruits have higher levels of sugar and fat in them. Even natural sugars and fats can put on pounds if you eat too much. Avocados and bananas, for instance, are natural foods higher in fat and sugar than most of the other fruits, and should not be eaten too much.

You can gain weight from eating ANYTHING in excess. So, I'd have to say yes, plus all the natural sugar isn't good for you. Natural of course, is better than artificial but your pancreas can't handle such an influx in insulin on a regular basis without problems down the line.

another person with paranoia about getting fat. Eat a balanced and healthy diet, vary the things you eat, get plenty of exercise, then you will be in great shape. People think they can stay thin by eating less and less, but all you need to do is increase the amount of exercise you do to burn off the calories of whatever you are eating, you need to eat to keep your body healthy and for energy.

Actually yes you can! If you eat more than what your body needs (that goes for anything). Than you can gain a few pounds consuming a high dosage of fruit!

Fruit contains alot of sugar. Sugar contains alot of calories. Veggies are denser nutritionally speaking, and contain fewer calories.
