Can any type of doctor (surgeon,pediatrician,pys... ,etc) diagnose you with something without telling you? Also, can they write things down on your medical record without you being aware ?And if so, what would qualify as a real examination? If so, how would I retract or state a misdiagnosis?

if you are concerned about them writing down something you dont agree with or you feel they are witholding information, you can always go to another doctor, when you go you go back to your old doctor and sign a waiver and you can get copies of your chart (everything this particular doctor or hospital has on you). You can read it all you want, but they have the originals, you are not allowed to alter them they are considered legal documents and property of the doctor. Children are often not told their diagnosis (even if it is something terminal ) parents dont want to scare them (like the kids dont figure it out). If you feel you have been misdiagnosed go to a new doctor and explain what makes you feel it is the wrong diagnosis, dont be afraid to seek a second or third opinion, or go to another doctor (it sounds like you do not trust this person) try to find someone you feel more comfortable with.

I know for sure they would write things down that they don't tell you. Its often not super important stuff, like if they think your faking your illness or symptoms they will sometimes act sympathetic, yet write down in the chart in not so many words that they think your a faker.
I know this because it happend to my mom. she switched dr's and decided to deliver her old records to her new dr herself, and therefore got access to them.
If you have any questions, you can get copies of your records. You should do this especially if you think your dr is keeping soimething from you. If this is the case it is VERY illegal, and you can sue him/her

Well, first off if you are a minor, and you have something major wrong, they leave it up to the parents to tell or NOT tell you. Also, if you are insane, a psychiatrist is not gonna say 'Hey, you are insane'. There are tons of things we never see in our records. If you are paranoid, order a copy of your records and read em.

Legally you have the right to your medical records (there usually is a fee and a form to sign). If you notice anything suspicious then contact an attorney if you think it's serious.

Legally, if you ask, they have to sit down with you and explain what they wrote down and why. Otherwise, they can write down anything they want to, and you wouldn't know what they are saying. If you deny the diagnosis, you need to tell the dr. that you feel the diagnosis is wrong and you want that stated in the physicians notes.

Legally they are bound to tell you all of there findings. The only possibility is that you are under the age of consent or not legally emancipated from your parents or guardian.
