Since your 13 I'd have to suggest you make sure you need to lose weight before you do. There are web sites that can probably help with that. One thing you never want to do is starve yourself. Yo yo dieting will bite you in the *** later when your body tries to store fat for the next "famine." 5 to 10 lbs isn't a lot for a starting weight loss provided that you weigh enough. Just cut back on all portions of all kinds of food that you eat. Increase portions of fruit and vegetables. Don't overly cut Milk or fats out of your diet to the point of elimination. Your body needs those and cutting them too much can actually prevent weight loss. (Actually you can get by without milk but it helps to have at least some each day) Also fats prevent you from getting hungry. Whole grains prevent you from getting hungry as fast too. They also are harder to digest and you get less calories from them than refined or white grains. Start doing some physical activity. You don't have to do aerobic exercises like running, you can just work all day or go for long walks.

Well, first you need to shed excess water weight; you do this by drinking herbal teas that are diuretics (diet aid teas) (drugs aren't healthy). And cut out all salt (temporarily). You might as well do this the healthy way.....Now, eat only raw fruits & vegetables (celery, romaine, spinach, jicama, not too many carrots); the enzymes will help you pass unwanted debris out of your system, at the same time, it takes more calories to process these foods than what you will get from them (avoid high-sugar fruits like banana) . I find grapefruit really helps (many people swear by this). You can have some eggs, fish, lean protein if you must. NOW the Secret Ingredient -Walnuts! Whenever you feel really hungry, eat a handful of raw walnuts! I swear they are an appetite suppressant!

Well it all depends on what you're going for. Do you want to lose weight to fit into a pair of jeans/look better? Or are you going specifically for the numbers. If it's the first one I say just simply cut down on your eating for the next two weeks and intergrate exercise that is abnormal to your current regime. If it's the latter, go jogging. But when you dress up, put on many layers. You can easily lose that much in water weight from just pure sweat. In a matter of days you'd reach your goal.

In general avoid all:
wheat
dairy
sugar (including fruit")
animal fats
Do:
Drink a gallon of h20 a day and eat asparagus 2-3 times a day for the next week. (this will dehydrate you and make you look better almost overnight ;-)
Do your midection almost every day unless you are too sore to move!
Do cardio 30-45 minutes a day.

It might sound dangerous at first, but you can lose 2 pounds a day on the lemonade diet. Basically, you only drink this lemonade recipe for a week or so (without food) without harmful side affects. Other than that.... ?

The cabbage diet. I lost 10 pounds in a week. But be careful - follow it closely and stay on a balanced diet and exercise plan after the week is done.
