when i was 25...i said that i would grow old gracefully, that i would someday have a long silver braid down my back that my grandkids braided for me , that i would be an eccentric grandmother painting and drawing on the front porch in my rocking chair and piddling around in my flower beds.

I'm almost 47 now. my kids are really about grown-aged 15, 18 and 20 and i don't have grandkids yet.

in my mind- i can still make love all night, go marathon shopping and do cartwheels like i did when i was 25 but reality is that somewhere along the way- my body betrayed me.

i still like the face i see in the mirror and the silver is coming along nicely but the growing old gracefully didn't include the aches and pains and physical limitations.

just when i think i am in this boat all alone and also SINGLE which i didn't expect...i see other women as well as men coming to terms with this new phase of our lives. i think it will be okay - we just hafta go with the flow.

I'm 24, and let me tell you, age catches you by surprise. I still feel like I'm in my teens. I put little or no stock in the things of adults, such as expensive automobiles, or portfolios. As a kid I didn't get to enjoy life. I had to work with my parents since I was 14, so I guess I'm kinda making up for lost time now. The only manifest of my age is the lack of energy. I used to be able to play hard during a sporting game, such as basketball, but now I start huffing and puffing like there's no tomorrow, and the bad thing is is that I'm always up against a younger team.

I don't know, in some ways I feel about 5 and in other ways I feel about 25, but somehow never 13 (which is how old I really am).

Yes, isn't it a shock to see that old lady in a mirror or a window when you're out shopping? We age on the outside but we have the same feelings on the inside.

I don't know that I can put an age to how old I feel on the inside. I can say that I am the same person I have always been...just a little smarter.

I have an aunt who is 94. She says that she sometimes wonders who that old woman is who looks back at her from the mirror. I'm 53. Sometimes I find myself wondering how I got to this age so fast...but I'm not really sure what age I feel inside.

I feel old inside. My friends always tell me I have an old soul. I am really young, but I feel like 45.

When somebody asks me my age I tell them I have three ages.
In my head I am 51. In my heart I am 41. And further down I am still 31.
