According to all the "official" pug websites Silver pugs are very very rare. What most people call a silver pug is actually a very light tan that is heavily smudged. A true silver pug is almost white, it has no black hair except for it's face. A black pug that is faded is what some people call a platinum pug (no such thing). It's most likely a black pug that has had some other bred mixed in it's ancestry. Remember papers are only as accurate as those filling them out.
