Some churches probably hire cleaners to clean up during the week when no one is there to worship. A few churches I know of ask the preacher and his wife to clean the buildings since they are around the building more often and pay them extra for it. At the church I attend we all pitch in and clean up by taking different months of the year - for example my family was responsible for cleaning the building during the month of February. I like it this way because it saves money and everyone "owns" the building and helps out! :)

i've seen people cleaning a church and i have helped with cleaning. You've never seen anyone cleaning a church because more than likely your just there for service. Are you?

Are you there to watch people clean the church? If that is what you are there for, perhaps you need to go after hours. People don't generally clean the church when there is a sermon going on.

Probably cause you don't go to church yourself?!? LOL! I clean our church on occasion we have written up a regular schedule at our Church certain family's who attend regularly are expected to clean and are encouraged to help around by cleaning just like a janitor. In fact we have a check off list in which that family will initial it's duties one by one until it is done correctly. I rather enjoy doing it it gives me time to focus on the Lord and family!

I help clean my church on occasion. We clean it on days when no one is in the building, like Saturday. You should find out if your church asks for volunteers to help out, or if it has a paid janitor. Chances are, it's not being cleaned by angels.

Go to the church at cleaning time and you will see it. I am so sure of it that I am even willing to bet money that you will see someone cleaning it.

I know I can not loose by the defined words. Will you bet with me?

Because they have it done before the church reopens in the morning & reclean at night when they close, they do not have the volunteers do it when the church is open because people are there for prayer or mass.

-Spoken from a Volunteer who cleaned a church during closed hours.

I've seen it. In fact, the cleaning ladies at my hometown church have been there since I was a little girl (30+ years).
