Does anyone that isn't a RAVING, shove-my-religion-down-your-throat kinda person, ever feel like you are close to God and he actually really doesn't like those crazy religious people because they are liking fans stalking a rock band?

I really don't think God likes everyone. Thats just my belief. I'm not in any specified religion, and I like it that way.

God has a use for everyone. Even the RAVING etc.... for what ever the reason it is out there.
Me personally I have felt close to God since I was young and have just recently started asking questions regarding the how, why and where! I have grown in my Faith beyond what I could have thought a year ago.
The truth is amazing once you seek it with an open heart.
However I hope I don't turn into one of those "RAVING, shove..."
A good faithful Christian will lead by example not trying to shove the word down your throat!

Is this question worth asking? The very thing that you are doing is judging yet you say that God doesn't like people who are a certain way. How do you know what God likes or doesn't like aside from his Words in the Holy Bible? The bible says "you will reap what you sow" especially speaking against those you don't agree with. Why not pray for them instead of backbiting? Stirring up strife brings a hasty fall.

The Bible makes it pretty clear that God does NOT like everyone. Witness the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, as well as the flood of Noah's time. Even gentle, long-suffering Jesus didn't like the money changers in the temple and ran their butts out. I've been known to roar at some of those down-your-throat maniacs when I was younger. I've made my peace with God and I feel like it works well. I may not be one of His favorites, but I don't think He'll kick me out, either. Never feel the need to talk anyone into believing, either.

James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
This is what one who is following Christ should be doing, not ranting and raving and shoving the gospel down your throat. This Jms, 1:27 kind of person should be close to God. God tells us we are not to engage in foolish arguments. There are hundreds of teachings that show us how to truly be close to God, none of which include how to beat down the unbeliever.

I DO feel that I have a closeness to God that isn't achievable through that in your face stuff. I HATE to pray outloud, or even in groups. I think its between me, and my God. There's some bible passage in the Gospels about how the Father who sees in serect rewards in serect. They always read it around Ash Wednesday...
Anyway, I do think that it would be kind of annoying to have those kind of RAVING christians all the time.

That's good! If they spent as much time and energy pursuing God and working on what He wants from them in their own lives as they do pounding on others there may have been no need for anyone to be an atheist.

God loves everyone. No matter who they are, what they say, or how they do it. I agree that he doesn't like it when they do it, but he loves the world. After all, he created us!
