How old are you? How often do you work out ? The reason could be that you are just out of shape but I would suggest you go to a doctor if it lasts that long and get tests for your lungs and possibly an EKG.

make an appointment with a cardiologist he can see exactly what is going on with a series of test it could be something very serious and i would stop any cardiovascular activity until after you consult the cardiologist the sooner you find out the better

You probably need to see a doctor. This could be either a lung or even heart problem. Obviously if one of these conditions exists, working out could cause some serious damage.

Ahhhh.... welll it would make sense that you would be out of breath when excersicing for that long! Its be cause your muscles are working continoius, it make sense because your like tiring your muscles out so your out of energey/carbs. Eatsomthing that has alot of calories before exercising. Good luck.

I would seriously suggest that you get your lungs checked by a Pulmonary specialist. You may not be getting adequate oxygen recover rate leading to serious problems. I speak from experience.

are you overweight? overweight people have this problem.
you should get checked out before working out.

remember to breathe properly while working out and don't over exert yourself.
get your blood level tested.

sounds like you have serious health problems if you're still feeling shortness of breath after 6hrs.

You could have "Asthma" that would explain the shortness of breath, get checked out by a doctor.

You are out of shape... But if it is for more than like 20 minutes(in your case) see a doctor for sure.
