Yeah, I'm one of those church kids. Fortunately, I've gained some perspective now. The reason most of the church kids gone wrong go bad is because Christianity never means any more to them than a set of dry rules and solemn lectures. How are they supposed to know the purpose of these rules when they're not allowed to question them? Being forced to obey a rule doesn't mean a thing, you've got to see the sense behind it and choose to obey it.

Anyone can go to church. As a child I went to church just because my parents took me and I had to sit through long, boring sermons I didn't understand, and I was raised to behave a certain way, BUT, I really wanted to know the world outside the church, life looked so much more fun, and we AS CHILDREN did do many mischievous things, we are individuals with a free will to make decisions like EVERYONE ELSE. As I grew older I really began to understand and learn more about relationship with the Lord. Going to church never made me a stronger christian, my relationship with the Lord makes me his servant. All children grow and learn. Don't judge them. The Lord will do that soon enough.

Because they are reared on Bible Principles. Every person, even the priests have two facets. They preach something else and do something else. So, why not the church kids should also follow them. Moreover, they fully well know that their ancestors have only been befooling people by misusing the name of God and Jesus. Still further, when they know fully well that their big brother Jesus is their to save them for their sins, why should not they sin to the extreme. So, they are fully exempt from observing any ethics of this world.

chances are their parents brought them along but never got them interacting with strong believers who were filled with the Holy Spirit. The kids didnt have that coming to the Lord transition and think church is just to clap your hands and ring bells. Gods people parish for a lack of knowledge. Hope this helps :)

I was not a PK [preachers kid], but I think that they feel like they live in a goldfish bowl and others are watching them very closely and that can be disconserting to them. Causing them to go over edge. Just trying to give another perspective. However your PK's and associates didn't seem to have a biblical center which of course would make a difference.

It is not the church kids that are bad. People just expect them to be perfect and no child is. You expect more of them because they do go to church. We all are human and we are all sinners. Trust me! The kids that are going to church are better protected through prayer and God to help them striaghten their life out. Judge and you will be judged.

Imagine how bad they'd be if they didn't go to Church.
The Church has always been "a hospital for sinners." Jesus even ate with tax collectors, the worst sort of people of his time.

I agree. It's the perception and they have no way to get anyone else's perspective on their behavior. I've known PK's as well...some were angels, some were...not. I go to church too and I try, try, try to be an "angel"
