I started emailing an old friend apx: 2mnths ago. We have really deep dialogue. We also have a lot in common. We talk daily. He seems to like me. But he hasnt asked me out. I suggested cooking him dinner and he side stepped the offer. He doesnt have a gf. What is up?

Your probabaly not going to want to hear this, but as a guy I think he's either gay, got a girlfriend, or he's just being polite and is not into you. But the only way to find out is to ask!

He only likes you as a friend, but doesn't want to hurt your feelings by rejecting you outright. If you are not sure that my answer is true, then just ask him directly if he thinks that there is a possibility of you being more than just friends. If he side steps the question again, he obviously does not like you.

Wow, I hate guys that are so damb confusing like that. I'm thinking he either has another girl that he hasnt told you about, is too self-consious to go out with you, or probably wants to keep it just friends. I wish men weren't such a mind field.
I think if you really are at your breaking point, just be totally honest and ask him what's going on.. ask him if he is happy just being friends with you.

mabey hes afraid i dont really know im not a guy.but dont come on strong and instead of cooking a dinner ( might be scaring him ) say go out for dinner. its ok but give him time it will only make it even sweeter
