Hmmmm, i don't know for sure if this qualifies as a riddle because don't riddles by definition have a definite answer? If it were a lateral thinking thing i would say old woman in the car and other two on the car. But if it is more of a moral dilemma, then it becomes tougher. First of all i would rule out the old woman because there is no real compelling reason to bring her, if it were a small female child i would consider it, but and old woman......
I don't think i could choose between the other two, but i could give a tricky answer and say that my best friend might just be the girl of my dreams...........

Well, here goes nothing........ you stick the girl of your dreams on your best friends lap, and the old lady in the trunk with the trunk lid open of course....... that way you save all three, therefore, you have repaid the best friend for saving your life, won the heart of the girl of your dreams, and saved the old lady which in turn lives up to the motto of respecting your elders.

Get the girl to take the old woman home and come back for you and your friend. He then drives while she sits on your lap.
Of course, all four of you should qualify for a "Darwin" runner up awards for being out in a hurricane in the first place!

Since my best friend (who has saved my life) wouldn't take the seat and leave an old woman in the rain.
And any girl who wouldn't respect her elders, wouldn't actually be the girl of my dreams.

your best friend-there is a history there. the best friend has saved your life, you owe it to try to pay it back. the old woman has not much longer to live and the girl of your dreams may not turn out to be the girl of your dreams.
