will be a baby..if not killed..so do you see my point. I am sick of everyone saying that the fetus is not a living person.. its just not grown into a full size baby..that will grow into a toddler..then on and on, if not killed. We all have to grow in order. So how can you say abortion is not murder? So dont call the baby a baby or a toddler a toddler or a fetus a fetus.. they are all HUMAN growing if not murdered.. Right!!

You are more than right! I wish more people see it the way we do. I believe that this is the best way I have ever heard it explained. I thought you would like to know that you are NOT alone...I stand right there beside and wonder how anyone can murder there own child and not feel bad for what they have done. How do the Dr.s that perform the abortion call themselves Dr's? I always thought Dr's were there to help you, not murder children. I am right beside you on this!!!!

I agree with you! Abortion is wrong; for all we know the baby that someone killed could have been the next president or anyone. But for a christian have morals as believeing it is right; seriously is diverted. If we sit there and fight that murder is wrong than have an abortion than we should be locked up for aborting an innocent life. All through my life I've never quoted a fetus as a fetus; I've quoted a fetus as a baby! As seriously it grows inside you, how else would it come out formed.

So does that mean all pregnant women in the U.S. are carrying illegal aliens? The fetus does not have a social security number.
Can everyone receive senior citizens' discounts? Over time they will grow into a teenager.
Should every woman who has her period be charged with murder? Over time that egg could develop into a child.
And what about every guy who ejaculates? Should he be charged with murder? Over time those sperm could develop into a child.
Should every woman with a fertilized egg have her fetus registered so that anything that happens to it can be tracked?
Should an investigation be held every time a woman has a miscarriage?
A fetus does not have significant cephalization. It can't think, it can't feel. It is a living thing, but it is not a human. It's no different from a plant.

Actually no. You can't call it Murder. You see murder implies that the death was caused illegally. I believe that currently Up until a certain point it is still Legal to have an abortion. If this is the case you can not say that to legally kill a fetus is murder. You may be able to get away with calling it a homicide, but not murder. I mean we kill criminals, we don't call the executioner a murderer. And soldiers in war kill other people would you call them a murderer? No, because what they did was legally sanctioned. So that's how I can say killing a fetus legally IE; abortion is not murder.

I agree with you 100%. And I'm sick of hearing the argument that it's the "woman's body". It's not her body that they are killing, is it? It's the child's body inside her. I'm also sick of the argument that what if the pregnancy is from rape or it endangers the mothers life. Yes, there might sometimes be those situations and they should be evaluated on a case by case basis, but how often does that really happen? I think the majority of abortions are done just for convenience because someone made a mistake. You can't just go around killing innocent babies because you made a mistake! If you don't want a baby, then don't get pregnant! It's as simple as that! There are other alternatives besides killing!

Right on. I'd also like to add that it doesn't matter how it got there either. Once a "fetus" is created, it's a baby who should have the same right to life as a newborn baby, even if you think the "fetus" wouldn't have a good life. I work with some babies who are not in good homes, but I woud not kill the to spare them the mistreatment.

Details may make up the very fabric of our lives, but what your doing is just manipulating it. Can one say that to eat a seed is wrong, because it will one day be a plant? How can one dwell in the future, when it has not even happened yet? Another point of view is that a fetus, until seperated through childbirth, is actually part of the mother, and, in theory, abortion is very similar to cutting ones hair, or trimming ones nails. You decide what you do with your body, and you must live with the moral consequences, but you cannot be stopped.

A fetus is potential for life, the same an egg and sperm is. It takes further human intervention to achieve the point of survival on its own. When it reaches the point where it can, abortion is illegal except in extreme cases. After that point, other humans can tend to the actual living human.

Until that point, it is a parasite on the body of the female and can actually kill her in childbirth. NO ONE has the right to force her to take that risk if she doesn't not want to. NO ONE.

Then you had better stop eating eggs, because there is a chance (rare, but still one nonetheless) that you are eating a fertilized egg. Is an acorn a tree? You know, I used to believe the same thing as you do, and then I had a VERY unplanned pregnancy, and the fear, depression and knowlege that I could not afford another child set in. I terminated the pregnancy within one week of finding out. It was the right decision, and I do not feel I "murdered" anyone. I am thankful I had the right to choose.

You go, girl!!

Pirate Wench - If I were raped & got pregnant, I would understand that the baby is not the evil one, the rapest is. However, if I didn't want a reminder of the rape, I would carry the innocent child to term and then release him/her for adoption to a loving family. I'm sure I could put aside my own selfish interests long enough to do that. And besides, if you have had an abortion, you realise the emotional damage it causes, and two wrongs don't make a right.

kyle r - Cutting your hair??!? Trimming your nails?!?!? As far as I know, nails & hair don't feel pain. Aborted babies have as many pain receptors as anyone, unfortunately, the thing they lack is pain dullers. Meaning they don't have the ability to block pain. Such a cruel thing for such a selfish reason!
Much Love!!
