Its actually harder to do than you think. I've done it for short periods like a few months and yes I felt great, lost a few pounds and seemed to have a better mental attitude and definately more stamina.
The reason I say it is hard to do isnt just because of cravings but also convenience. The cookies and chips and candy were all pretty easy to give up, it was the soda and fast food that were tough. When you are on the run and have a busy life hitting the drive thru for a quick meal is quick and convenient but is definately classified as junk food. Its really hard not to give in and grab that burger or McNuggets but it can be done with a little work.
I definately reccomend it and wish you all the luck in the world. Just be strong and really try to have a plan ahead of time for all of your meals and snacks throughout the day. Try to keep lots of fresh fruits and veggies around the house too. For a good substitute for soda try iced tea with lemon and natural honey or sweet n low.

I have never quit eating junk food all together. I don't reccomend doing that because it is going to backfire on you. I am currently on a new plan of eating that basically just is a 90/10 plan. Meaning 90 percent of the time I eat really healthy. The other 10 percent I have what I am craving in small portions. I try to do something everyday so that I keep excersizing the extra calories off. I find that chocolate is easy to have if you lose the hamburgers.

Yes. I quit eating things like chips, cookies, etc. I rarely eat fast food, I NEVER eat McDonald's. Most products that contain added sugar I rarely ever eat. In five months, I lost 62 pounds. My back feels a lot better and physically overall I feel better. You can eat some junk foods on occasion, just watch how much. Maybe as a treat once a month.

For the first time in my life the past 5 months i have given up junk food. I did have cake on my birthday though. And a few chocolate bars here and there. But overall I have lost 15 lbs, I have way more energy, and have not gotten sick. I would definitely recommend it.

I gave up junk food about 7 years ago and maybe only eat fast food once or twice a year seriously. And I lost about 15 to 20 kilos and never looked back.

I tried to give up junk food for about 2 weeks. I totally couldnt make it since...food is my weak spot. I am not overwieght becuase I excercize by playing soccer, dance class, etc. I drink lots of water, and even though I eat junk alot, i try to balance it out with healthy foods too.

Highly recommend it. I wouldn't say I've given it up totally, but maybe...MAYBE I might have Wendy's once a month. You'll lose weight from all the crap that's in it, feel better, have more energy...there's pretty much nothing good about most fast food.

Ya I gave up on soda and chips for 3 months. Then after the 3 months I opened my first pepsi can. It tasted like crap because it was a long time that I tasted a pepsi.
It is just like beer when you try it the first time. It tastes nasty at first, but when you get used to it, it is AWESOME
