The origianl put to music was recorded by Byron McGregor. It is a great piece that I heard on the radio just a few weeks ago. I have been trying to track down the link. I will send it when I find it.

I think you're thinking of the Canadian jounalist Gordon Sinclair.
The recording is unavailable at Amazon.com
Sometimes local radio stations may have a copy and may make you a copy of Mr. Sinclair's version. There is also an online data bank that has the original broadcast on audio mp3 and it's at this link:

hi...your question is a good one..the mans name was gordon sinclair..he was a radio host for a station called cfrb 1010 in toronto..he used to do editorials and this particular one become very famous..google him up and you will most likely find a copy....cheers
