As a Christian, you don't have anything to fear as far as Revelations is concerned. Jesus will come to take you home. Why is that scary for you? It is the non-believers that may fear Revelations. All the judgments are made against them. Not you.
As far as the crying I'm not sure what that is all about. I guess some people are just emotionally move to see how awesome God is. I would suggest that you reread Revelations and take your proper place as a child of the Most High God. You are a sheep not a goat. You are Royalty. Nothing bad is going to happen to his sheep when He comes back. He is the Good Shepard.

Yes, a lot of people cried in the Bible, but most of the times the Bible says people cried, it doesn't mean that that were afraid or depressed. Sometimes yes, but not most of the times. "Cried out loud" is used a number of times, but that pretty much is always talking about them yelling out loud. Also, to slightly change the subject, Jesus cried several times as well. Not because he was afraid of anything of course, but several times because of people's lack of faith in Him. And since Jesus was, and is The Lord, and He cried, why should we think we're too tough to ever cry?
About the Earth passing away. Hey, no big deal man. Even if it wasn't going to, we are. Everyone is going to die one day. So whether we have a heart attack when we're seventy or the Earth just completely explodes, what's the difference? As long as we know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and we keep growing closer to Him every day we'll have an outstanding place to stay when we die. - John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
I want to add one more thing before I wrap this up. As Christians we need to really watch our language. I've only been a Christian for about 6 years, and I used to cuss a whole lot myself. Then one day I opened the Bible, and "just happened" to open it up to this verse: 2Ti 2:16 But shun profane babblings: for they will proceed further in ungodliness, I realized God was speaking to me because I'd been wondering if it was a sin to cuss or not, but didn't want to know, cause really liked telling pretty wild jokes. So I've completely stopped cussing now. This is an even more relevant verse: Mat 12:37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.
Please keep growing in your faith bro. Take care, and God bless you.

Keep studying! It should only scare those that aren't ready for Christ's return. It's those people that need to be afraid. I was afraid too until I really started to read, learn and understand what the Lord's plan is for his children. If you are ready for Christ's return then you won't have to worry about all of the rest.

The world isn't not going to end. God is going to have a judgement on his decided day & the wicked & those who did not follow God's requirements, will be destroyed. Read Revelation 21:4 & Psalms 37:10,11.....

Manipulation.
People are using that as an excuse to get sympathy.
Also, wasn't it Hitler that said "the bigger the lie, the more people will believe." And you know just how gullible christians are.

One cries because of the inability to change what is to come and our inability to stop the process of dying.

Many will enter the gates of hell, few will enter the gates of Heaven - that all in itself is sad.
