When I look at him, he looks away. What is that? Need male perspective here.

I always heard if their eyes look away or dart back and forth, they are lying about something. My deceased hubby did it all the time. He did lie a lot, I learned years later.

Eye contact can be an intimacy issue. Some people can just not make eye contact. He may like you but have had issues with a more bossy or domineering woman in the past. If he stays and can stay on topic when you are done talking, he is listening.

THESE ARE POSSIBILITIES THAT I CAN THINK OF:
1. He is shy
2. He is too close to your face
3. He wants to know where the bathroom is.
4. For him, eye contact is disrespectful (some Asian norms).
5. He is bored.
6. He is telling you to stop staring at him
7. He needs a breathing space
IT DEPENDS ON your relationship with him.

Hey, I get that from women,lol. I hate when a person doesn't look you in the eye. Most men especially young guys,are nervous about asking you out because they might get shot down when you say,NO! YOU KNUCKLEDRAGGING LOSER!
I'm kidding. It's a confidence thing. As we guys get older,you'll notice we start looking women in the eye.

Either that man has been caught in the wrong foot (and he knows that!), or lying or is inattentive to your talk.Again depends on the subject....if its interrogation, serious talk or whatever....depends on the actual ground reality of the talk between the two of you.

The body language you are describing is associated with discomfort. The discomfort can be for many reasons, but i would guess that some form of deception is taking place. Be careful!!

People do cultuvate certain habits as they grow and what you have mentioned may be part of such habits! If you are curious or concerned, you should ask the person you are with why he is doing what he does!

Some men are self conscious about their appearance.In a way "embarrassed"
I know that is why I look away.

If he is talking to you..then it means hes entertaining himself with you..and really isnt interested in you as an audience. he is browzing the room looking for others to entertain.
if your talking to him tho..and he averts his eyes..it means hes bored and isnt interested in what your saying..hes looking for an escape
