There is not a thing as a soul mate. It is an easy answer to a complex solution. It is also an easy way to justify divorce. Many divorces happen because he/she just "wasn't my soul mate". All relationships take effort and hard work, and cannot just exist beforehand. Sure, there is a predisposition for certain people to get along better, but when hard trials come - and they will - a relationship that lasts is only one that is carefully tended and very well taken care of. You can also see my answer to Krazy_gal04 's Question: "What is a soul mate and how do you know when you've found yours?" (I'll copy&paste it here)
"Sorry, but there isn't really such a thing as a 'soul mate' - there is not some specific person you were meant to be with you forever. Relationships are something that need to be worked at, and saying that he or she 'was not my soul mate' is an easy answer to get out of a relationship. A good relationship must be nurtured and cared for; it cannot just exist already without work, as people suppose when they think of 'soul mate'. You won't find a soul mate, but you can work towards becoming one - relationships take effort, and without it they are not worth it anyway.

The people that believe in 'Soul Mates' are usually already settled in a co-dependant relationship. Having a Soul Mate requires the giving and receiving of unconditional love. I don't know anyone in such a relationship.

I think u can have a soul mate it all depends on what u consider a soul mate I think it someone u have a strong bond with like u just look at each other and just know. I think it takes time 2 reach that. There is no perfect relationship I so a soul mate doesn't mean problem free.

i think of the definition of a soul mate is somebody who has an identical opinion with me on merely approximately each little thing and has an identical standards. for occasion, an extremely tidy man or woman is often going to be in conflict with an untidy man or woman. a man or woman with extreme standards of hygiene will resent a companion who has a low common. An ardent capitalist isn't at risk of consider a committed communist. somebody political will bore somebody who has no activity etc etc. greater own themes which contain sexual alternatives, nutrition alternatives and entertainment alternatives additionally will impact how lots human beings appreciate each and each others corporation. So i think of that soul friends are merely a compatibility difficulty.

I am a Christian also. I do believe that there is someone for everyone. However, I don't necessarily believe that a soul mate has to be for romance or intimacy. It maybe that your soul mate is your Mom or Dad. When I think of a soul mate; I think of someone that is a kindred spirit. So you may have many or just one.

You are a christian, so you should know that a woman is created by God using a man's rib bone. Which means, every man is searching for his lost rib bone and every woman is searching for the one whom they belong to. So, eventually, both the man and the woman will find each other.
