is it true that nyquil can get you drunk?

my dad told me that sometimes when alcoholics cant afford beer, they take nyquil insted.

Nyquil has a small amount of something that shows up in drug tests as morphine. I only found this out by getting drug tested for a job, but having told them I had taken some the previous night they delayed the test 3 days for it to clear out of my system.
And people that cannot afford beer are not able to afford nyquil instead because it costs more. Rubbing alcohol and mouthwash would be more likely and far less tasty.

Never do that it is dangerous. Also you now have to sign forms to purchase over the counter drugs now days. If they see you are buying too much you could be in for a serious charge of a crime. The reason for this is many helpful drugstore medications can be made into illegal drugs very easily. This is why the government is cracking down. Use some sense and buy beer or other beverage instead. Remember stay home. Don't drink & Drive!

First of all yes it will cause you to have the effects of drunkeness..........but you will overdose on the acetaminician and other active ingrediants pass out and possibly have a heartattack long before you drink enough to get drunk.....not to mention you wont have a hangover cuz youll be in a freaken coma........Last point is it costs about 5 times more than beer.........that doesnt make sense that alcoholics would drink it. Please dont try it youll only get sick.

Not drunk, but trashed! It has a halucinagenic in it to make you see things like if you were on mushrooms. But only drink about half a bottle otherwise you could end up in the hospital getting your stomach pumped!

Yes, it has alcohol in it. Read the label yourself if you don't believe it. It also has medicines that when mixed with alcohol can be dangerous in large quantities (like the whole bottle). I have also heard of them drinking Aqua Velva.
