I'm not a drinker whatsoever, but i suppose to go out to a bar and I really have NO knowledge what to ask for. I don't want to look stupid, i want to fit in with my friends so I won't look so lame.

if i said i don't drink what makes you think that i'm going to drink a lot i am 25 years old i know the difference between right or wrong!! may be i should rephrase my question ,. I AM NOT A DRINKER SO WHAT DRINKS ARE LIGHT AND FRUITY AND SWEET.

Some easy ones are Margaritas and Appletinis. My best friend goes ga-ga for Appletinis (green apple flavored martinis). She says it tastes like jolly ranchers!
A personal favorite of mine (but it's not fruity) it's a chocotini. A chocolate martini, but some places don't have the stuff to make them so you are probably safer asking for the appletini.
Don't be afraid to look on the menu and try something new! That's how you find out some favorite drinks!
Also...it's totally ok to ask the bartender to mix something fruity for you. I do it all the time when I just can't think of what to get!

Several come to mind...Diet coke with lime mixed with Captain's Morgan(rum), pina colada, fuzzy navel, Baja Luna (Raspberry with tequila),Tequila Rose. You could also ask for a sangeria (not sure on the spelling) or a wine spritzer or a Blue Lagoon. If you are afraid of getting a possible hangover, ask for water before you order a drink then get another glass of water when you finish the drink. Just keep hydrating yourself (with water) and you will be ok.

You shouldn't drink to look good for friends or to avoid appearing stupid. Drinking is not to be taken lightly. You must drink responsibly. I am not against you drinking if you are of age and if you will not drive after drinking. Just have 1 - 2 drinks maximum. Sweet cocktails are tricky because they are sweet, and will get you drunk easy if your stamina is weak. At any rate here are simple drinks that you may want to sip on.
Bellini, Mai Tai, Manhattan, Martini, Mojito,

I tend not to drink either but if you can get it at the bar I suggest a black cherry smirnoff malt beverage ( like a wine cooler- nice flavor not too sweet)
You can ask the bartender too, it's their job they should be able to give you some suggestions.

Have you ever tried Arbor Mist? Fruity and sweet and not at all strong. It's a sparkling wine. Very nice for people who don't drink often.

I drink smirnoff very often and not once have i had a hang over! They make diff flavors but i recommend the Regular! But the have grape and orange and green apple and **** like that!

Be yourself, if you're not a drinker...tell the bartender you're the designated driver & usually they give you free sodas all night! There's nothing wrong with not drinking.
