the same goes for people who are offended by others who believe that Jesus was married or had a child.

i don't believe Jesus was gay, i don't mind if He was married, but what difference would it make anyway? wouldn't His messages of Love be just as strong and important?

YanNie-wOO : I'm straight as a rock, but i've been called gay many many times on this forum, and it never offends me. I don't even see how a sexual preference can be an insult. To you it obviously is, that's weird and sad.

Absolutely. Hell ..... why should it matter if he was white, black or even purple ? I think people get offended because they rely too much on what was written and documented rather then what the actual message is. People see new concepts as a threat to their beliefs.

I am extremely puzzled by your comments. The Bible is the Word of God given to remind us of his love and sacrifice for our sake and that He came to Earth as a man who was sinless. There is no indication anywhere that I have read or studied that would give anyone the idea that Jesus was either married or gay.

When people become offended its because of the factually unfounded statements that unbelievers or others that people call head-believers (they know of about Jesus and the facts and some of the teachings, they may even be saved, However, they don't know Jesus as their Savior and know him in their heart.

It be something like me saying "Your mom is a Martian-weenie sleaze-sac with green scabs on her chest..... You're originally offended at the remark in defense of your Mom, but it quickly gives way to a feeling of disgust to the "offender" for even thinking something so ludicrously impossible. True Christians would probably not go off on you, but find some way to communicate the Truth to you the best way they could.

If someone say u are born as a gay, would feel been offended? Or they say someone you are very close with, like your best friend, is born as a gay, will u be happy with that?
U know the answer, that's why Christians feel offended.
When a thing become a very important part in your life, u cannot help to care for it.
Even for non-christians, some of them will also feel unhappy about this comment.

He is our savior. He was sinless, and that is how he paid for our sin with His blood. This is a very important fact about who he was and what he did. In the old testament the best most perfect animals were sacrificed to God for a persons sin, as an offering to God, the blood of an animal covered the sin. Jesus was the lamb of God. Given to His children as a sacrifice for their sin. The lamb was perfect, only he who had no sin could cover the sin of all Gods children. This aspect of Christ being sinless is very important. He was not married nor was he gay. Why say he was?

Why would true Christians not be offended with people who say Jesus was gay. He died for our sins. In His Word Jesus said that being gay is a sins against nature. Romans 1: 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Romans 1: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Romans 1: 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; If you are one of those people who says that Jesus was gay then you also will stand at the white throne judgment. Revelation 20: 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation 20: 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20: 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20: 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I am not a big Bible reader and I won't pretend to be but in all of the readings that I have heard I don't recall Jesus teaching that homosexuality is a sin. I hear on these pages that people say homosexuality is a sin but I personally don't recall hearing about that. It honestly wouldn't bother me if Jesus was gay, straight, or bi.

if Jesus was born gay then it would go against every thing that he teaches about the subject....then he would be a lier and that would never happen...so why even bring something like that up...it is disrespectful to Jesus....we all know how he feels about homosexuality...he hates the sin of it but loves the sinner and if they will turn away from that sin and call upon Him to save them then He will.....and no His message of love would then become impure because that is against every thing that He teaches....it would be weakened not strengthened..it would be flawed...because He that knew no sin would be filled with sin ...then His death would be for nothing

simply because god said that the practice was detestable that it was a sin

if jesus was gay (practising), then he was a sinner

if he was a sinner, then he could not have offered himself up as the perfect sinless sacrifice for the sin of humanity

i'm not trying to be ugly or homophobic here...i'm just trying to tell you what the book (god) says about this

and how what it says would logically affect jesus' mission/purpose as the savior of man

to imply that jesus was married goes way beyond what is written (forget about the psuedopigrapha and the da vinci code, etc); to go beyond what is written is err grievously...

it's a matter of hermeneutics/the science of interpretation

once you begin to misapply hermeneutical principles, then nothing is safe anymore

once you reinterpret/misinterpret the book wrongly or misapply hermeneutical principles then it becomes easier to change the meaning of anything you want

for example: jesus said that if you don't believe moses, you can't believe jesus...if you don't beilieve jesus you won't be saved

moses (speaking/writing for god) said don't engage in homosexual acts because god doesn't like that (dislikes it a lot)

this things would radically affect the strength and importance of his messages of love because they would have made inconsistent with the nature of god

if he was inconsistent with god, he could not then be god

if he cannot be god, he cannot save you

if he cannot save you, christianity is a joke

you have to think a little deeper than just "following your heart" or believing that "tolerance" is the true path...and they can be shown to be false philosophies in less than a minute (we'll save that one of another time)

jesus often called people hypocrites, children of the devil, etc; he whipped people, turned over tables, and chased them out of his father's house (the temple)...not because he given to violence or slander, not because he didn't love them...but rather because he would NOT TOLERATE (yes, jesus was intolerant, and preached intolerance --see john 14.6 among many others) their lifestyles, their lies, their misdeeds, their false teachings, etc

If Jesus had been married on earth, He would be an adulteror because the Church is His bride. It makes all the difference in the world. If He were an adulterer, He wouldn't have been without sin, hence wouldn't have been the perfect sacrifice, hence not our Savior, hence His death burial and resurrection would have been meaningless and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

@Mel "See Jesus become basically a monk subsequently he chosen a existence of celibacy. in different words a virgin for existence. and as you stated premarital sex and adultery were punishable by using regulation back in those situations." Even in recent times, many clergymen are gay, and are clergymen because they're gay, and that's forbidden to be gay of their faith. so as that they choose a existence form the position not getting married to a woman is not in simple terms commonly used, yet is the guideline.
