It is necessary to tell them your gender since most dudes want to head home with a real vagina. If someone offers you a drink and you are attracted to them, by all means, accept the drink and start to talk. When you get that feeling that they'd like to touch you or kiss you, deliver your line that tells them gently and respectfully what you are down under. I would think it would be a hard thing to relay in the fear of rejection but I'm sure if the line is right it'll be a positive thing in the long run.

Sweetie, a bar - any bar - is a meat market. If someone offers you a drink and sits down to talk, they are trying to pick you up. Depending on how far you plan to let the situation proceed, you better mention the gender factor before you leave the safety of a public place, or you might get nailed in a most unpleasant way. You really must look after yourself; it is a cruel world out there for most women, especially women like yourself.

As I'm sure you know by now, you must use your gut feeling.
Some you may not want to tell, but politely thank them for the drink and exit.
If you don't feel any real danger, you need to bring it up as soon as the conversation goes past the intro stuff.
By playing your cards up front, if it works out great, if not, no harm no fowl.

Absolutely not. You are in no way obligated to get into that if someone simply buys you a drink and chats. Just as you shouldn't feel obligated to tell them that you have no intention of sleeping with them, but instead wanted a free beverage.

Why should you have to tell them your physical gender, they should be able to tell by looking. If you keep accepting drinks from people, pretty soon you will wake up in an alley without a wallet, if you wake up at all. Be careful.

oh I think that isn't something you need to talk about right away. Don't share too much too soon! I'd say somewhere around the 3rd date, but only if you thought they'd be okay with it, and if you actually saw it going somewhere. There really isn't a need to tell everyone.

I would say that you would be REALLY luck that someone sat down to talk to you. I don't think that you would have to tell them that you are a man.
