I think that this is a trip but it is something that I keep hearing about both positive and negative and I am just trying to get some feedback on it?

i have had twice.different women both times..**** luck for me as it turned out that the rendevous we pallned ended up as her chums day.well as long as u dont see all the blood and stuff its nice and hot ,,bit squishy ,but fun

The only negatives are if she's having severe cramps, she probably won't enjoy the sex very much. And if she's having a heavy flow and is using lots of tampons, that can irritate the skin at the opening which can make the friction of intercourse uncomfortable. If she's not having cramps, it's still quite possible for her to have a satisfying orgasm, even with the vaginal irritation, by concentrating on the external bits.
From the guy's viewpoint, if he's very squeamish about the sight of blood, it can be alarming. (Never bothered me, but I know some guys who won't even BUY feminine products for their wives.) Also, if either of you has a tendency towards yeast infections, intercourse during her period can cause a flare-up because the yeast cells love all the blood, it's like a free barbecue. So it's all the more motivation to shower off really well afterward.
Positive things about it: well, list all the things you like about sex. They're all the same when she's on her cycle, it's just red. We've done this for about thirty years and the only reason we're planning to stop is that someday soon her cycle will stop altogether (and that day can't come soon enough for her!)

I have. It's really not that different. I would reccommend using a condom, because obviously you will be a little bloody when you come out. Other than that, the blood acts as a lubricant and it's completely normal.
