taking a cold shower...working out at the gym. go for a run...anything that takes the mind off those urges...

You can either do something about it or bite the bullet and suffer through. I remember during my days in the US Army that the policy there to avoid oldiers from engaging in sexual conducts that may give them a STD, commanders were encouraged to get them involved in sports and non military activities that will divert them from sex. So, what sports do you enjoy? Go for it find friends to practice or learn how to play, what about developing a rewarding relationship with a community group or church in your town? Get yourself busy in a personally rewarding way. Find something you like to do (or wanted to do but never did), and Go for it!

And there's nothing safer! lol
Maybe some hobbies would help...working out, reading, watching movies, etc.
