I think people can be such jerks when it comes to dealing with issues such as these. I think people should live where they want to live.

Yes, of course, you're right. But I've heard lots of harsh words on both sides of this issue. Neither side has been particularly friendly. And hearing the illegal demand "rights" that they don't have is a little bit insulting, too.
As a country, we need to sit down and figure out the best way to restructure immigration. It is a serious issue, and deserves much better than all the name-calling.

It is not that citizens are mean or not. If a criminal comes in to your home and takes what you have work for, for a long while, would you just give it to them smiling? I think not. The criminal is a human to. It is no different. The illegal aliens are not immigrants. They are illegal law braking people. Stealing your way of life, jobs and money.
First there are laws set to come to this country legally. I know I have paid my dues and entered this country legally. I have waited for years and spent thousands of dollars in fees. It is a slap in the face to me and my family that have suffered and waited and paid this money to enter legally, to have these law breaking people protest in the streets for rights they don't have.
Yes you are right harsh words are spoken but remember these illegal people are here not thru legal means and they don't pay taxes to the government that actually takes care of them. YOU do or will if you are not old enough. Remember the money the government spends comes from all us legal citizens and that is you, or your father and mother.
There are laws and we have to enforce them and control our borders. The illegal law breakers are welcome to come here under legal and orderly manner as prescribed by the current laws.

they are human beings that are breaking the law and costing the American people millions. Why are people more concerned with there feelings and not the fact that they are breaking the law by coming to America illegally. I think they should be sent back as soon as they are caught. By the way, in mexico for instance, it is a felony for a person who is not born there to protest, vote, and a lot of other things that the free living liberals want to give them for free in this country, people who are not citizens simply do not have the same rights as Americans.... PERIOD!!!!!!

I think it all boils down to racism. And racism stems from fear.People are scared of what they don't know. And some of those people don't know how to handle that fear,so it turns to something they can understand--hatred.If something is foreign to a person, they don't like it.This is just a small percentage,I hope.
Some people feel that illegal ppl are invading their personal space and threatening their lives.Unfortunately these people know nothing.illegal,legal,americans...they are all people.
I hope one day all people are as nice as you.If only we had more compassion towards ppls feelings.I hear worse things about illegals than I do about molesters.Whats wrong with that picture?

The illegals are nothing but a bunch of law breaking criminals and have no respect for our laws or our country. The way to fix the problem is for them to get out. They feel that they can break ours laws whenever they want and don't care about the consequences for others. They are NOT wanted here. If they want to fix problems, then they can go back to their own country and change things there. If they ant to be here, then they can do so legally as numerous others have. I have no sympathy for a bunch of people who break the law and then want to whine and complain because we want them out for being criminals. Well what about our feelings? They illegally enter our country and have no respect for us or our laws. Then complain because we want our laws enforced. How would they like it if we went to their country and did the same thing? You keep talking about them like they are special and above the law, well I got news for you, they are nothing but a bunch of low life criminals and deserve to be treated as such!

OK....let's not be mean. We don't have to be mean. Let's not hurt the feelings of all those people who chose to steal the social services that we (hard working citizens) pay for. Let's just enforce the law. We need to prosecute all who hire illegals and respectfully refuse all social services such as: schools, health care, etc. We then have to kindly round them up and politely deport them after we courteously bid them farewell at the border,

I've seen some illegal immigrants and their supporters say some pretty obnoxious and mean things on here, too. The pendulum swings both ways!

Can't hate the illegal for trying, but they need to go home. I would have wished they had thought about the people they were insulting before they paraded their Mexican flag around, and had signs that read this is our land, maybe their wouldn't be such hard feelings.
