It is the story of Adam and eve.
Eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is a metaphor for judgment. It is judgment that banished us from the garden. Before we obtained the knowledge of good and evil it was understood that everything had come from God therefore it was all good. We started to judge somethings as being more appropriate or better than others are. Consequently some things made us happy while other things displeased us and made us unhappy.
This knowledge of good and evil keeps us constantly off balance happy one moment unhappy the next. Always striving to get the things we have judged able to make us happy. All this due to our judgment or knowledge of good and evil. This is all that separates us from the happiness we once had in the garden. It is like a code or a formula. If learning to judge excluded us from the happiness we once had in the garden it is a simple matter of teaching ourselves not to judge that can put us back in.
It may be a lot simpler than we think.

This is like reverse engineering when you have a solution then work backwards to find the question. You find some message then use the bible to create a code that fits.
