YES IT DOES TASTE DIFFERENT I HAVE A LITTLE STATION BY MY HOUSE THAT STILL CARRIES THE ORIGINAL DP AND I AM SO THANKFUL BECAUSE I CAN'T STAND THE 23 FLAVORS THAT MAKE DP TASTE LIKE A SODA FOUNTAIN SHOP. I SAY LEAVE A GOOD THING ALONE AND GIVE US BACK THE ORIGINAL OR I WILL SWITCH TO THE OLD STAND BY MR PIBB

There is definitely a difference. I didn't even realize it until my husband and kids refused to drink the yucky tasting Dr Pepper. I tasted it and totally agree. I thought that somehow the cherry vanilla got mislabled as reg. D P until the next 12 pack tasted bad too. I want my old D P back!!

It is exactly the same thing as the soda in the older packaging. The 23 flavors refers back to DP's birth at a Waco, TX soda fountain. To sum it up the 23 Flavors is simply marketing.

I actually got a 23 can the other day, and my boyfriend had a regular can, and we switched back and forth. There's no difference that I can tell. It's just a marketing ploy. I mean, they wouldn't just change the taste without making a big deal out of it. Remember New Coke?

they seem pertaining to flavours. it will be a gimmick like the Colonel's 11 secret herbs and spices. word that at 23 they have a million more beneficial than double 11. It fairly isn't precise...they declare its a secret. it really is in ordinary words designed to get human beings speaking about Dr. Pepper.

It only about marketing. It's still the same old formula, just a new design. The old formula had 23 flavors, too, they just didn't push that side.
I heard somewhere that it has to do with the company's history in Texas.

Just new/updated packaging...no change in the formula. Why would they change a great soft drink? Its all in your head.
