6mo to maybe no later than 3mo, because a lot of the same people attending the wedding; will also be attending the shower. I would consider if you have many people who are from well to do back grounds if not 6mo is best. This way many of them give 2 gifts (1 shower + 1 wedding=2) and it gives them time to save for another one.

There is no official ettiquette as to when bridal showers have to happen. Bridal showers can happen at any point before the wedding - even a week before. My sister was the MOH in a wedding a couple of years ago and she planned the first bridal shower which was about 3 months before the wedding. It was a short engagement (just a little over 6 months) so the time frame altered because of it. The second bridal shower which was put on by the bride's church happened about a month to 1 1/2 months before the wedding.

The bridal shower should be about 2 months before the wedding. With a March 2007 wedding you should shoot for the end of January as not to coincide too much with the holidays at the end of the year.

False, but couldn't hurt if you really have a lot of showers.Usually though, not many people could actually be so lucky !Don't expect the same folks at each shower ,either. One is about it for a person to feel obligated to attend. My son asked me to give a shower, because his fiance said she was only having one,and some of her friends had many.I did it fast, only family, but it had a lot of heart in it.We had fun, fun, fun at Bed , Bath and Beyond. Was glad my son did not hold back this for his bride to be.He will be a thoughtful husband.Ya think?

I'd probably say true, but in order to be sure, go to the library or call the library and ask for the reference desk and ask them this question. Give them your phone number and when they research it, they will call you back. When you go to the library to look that up , you can also look up ideas for games at the shower and check out those books and ideas for party favors, food, etc. or decorations. You could also google it and go to www.google.com and under search , put your question.
