it can be. But sometimes it shows that u got a lot of self worth and know what u want. But what u need to realize is that not all people can afford a high maintenance relationship. I mean if u are high maintenance on your own that is fine but if u are expecting your partner to get u everything that u want and need it is not fair to them because what do they get in return. Sometimes it is nice to step back and see the simpler things in life.

Yes, because nobody likes over the top and selfish people. High maintenance people generally tend to think that the world revolves around them.

I believe everyone should have high standards, just not obsessively high, after all you want the best man or woman that you can possibly get, so to a certain extent being high maintence can be a good thing. On the other hand if your standards are to high, guys or females wont approach you or wont take the time to date you because they feel inferior. If you want a good person to be with then set your standards high when it comes to personality and moderate when it comes to looks... no one is perfect. and you cant set them so high that no one can live up to your expectations

anything to excess can be a bad thing....can you afford it, or is a man paying for it? Is it necessary for you to feel good about yourself--that the outward picture is as perfect as you can get it? Good hygiene, looking presentable, taking care of your teeth and hair are all important, but how far beyond that do you go?

that is up to you. It is for some but not for others.
I personally prefer low maintenance. A lady who looks as good in the morning as when she went to bed is hot.

I think alot of men appreciate all the trouble we go through in order to look good for them, but if they are waiting on us to get ready, then yes, it annoys them. I try to allow alot of time to get ready so my hubby knows how much effort it is and I'm not holding him up.
