well the desert eagle is a firearm and a .357 magnum is an type of ammunition so this is like the old apples to oranges thing

The desert eagle would have about twice the gun powder of a .357. I'm not saying gunpowder is power, but it helps create it.

desert eagle if its a .50 cal,

m4 carbine is a shorter, smaller version of the m16... so probably the m16... tho they both take the same ammo size... but probably since the barrel is a lil longer on the m16.... it would make it more accurate, maybe more powerful too... dunno tho, only shot an m16, never the m4

the desert eagle is available in .357 magnum (as well as .44, and .50AE (the one everybody knows about)).

It depends on what caliber the Deagle is. If it's a 50. AE than yeah it is more powerful.
