It's not like they just let us have it; Americans had to fight for the land. And why does everyone point out that Americans took the land from the natives? Was the rest of the Western hemisphere devoid of human habitation when Europeans arrived? Did not Spain and Portugal wrestle with and enslave the native populations of Latin and South America as the English did?

When our forfathers took the Land from the Indians, the Indians did not have to pay for the white Mans food, Drs., housing. Illegals should be deported, let them go back and try to enter in a proper manner; and not depend on this Country to pay for all their needs. This is why the Elderly of this country get such poor Care( not enough Money in the Tilt).

For the same reason you would be deported from Mexico if you entered illegally. They also took their land from the natives, you know. By the by, are you aware of Mexico's immigration laws? Try entering their country illegally, protesting their laws and see how far you get.

No one alive today did any of that. No one is advocating deporting all of the non-Indian Mexicans back to Spain. The Indians came across the land bridge from Asia. Maybe they should all go to Mongolia.

We cannot live in the past. There is too much of it. If going back 200 years tells one story, then going back 500 or 1,000 tells a completely different one, and we get nowhere.

Because:

1. There is such a place as America
2. There is such a people as American citizens
3. There is such a concept of American citizen's rights.

To argue otherwise is spreading the lies that this only applies to illegals from their own country, like Mexico!!

Why can't we deport Mexico because their ancestors killed the Aztechs to extinction back to the countries they came from??

Your argument will never work!!

And if you think your slick to include racism - how racist is Mexico for their no nonsense immigration laws?

Good question.

most of the answers against illegal immgrants will come from people who have either Eurpean, Asian, African Acestors who came to the strecht of land called america.....their arguements will be full of anger and hate, but ulitmately fall apart under closer scrutiny and through thier hypocracy.

If you know your history most immgration law is base on rasicm, for example
the first immgration law wasn't against our Southern niegbhors but against the Chinese....

There were openly racist groups to stop them from coming in...why...the country was filled with wide open spaces.....no welfare no social services......no reason to complain......the reason was clear....anything or anyone that is not white makes america less white.

The later incarnations of immgration law..

Chinese could only come in if they had a proffessioin....Mexicans could come in if they had a family memeber.

But your question is why do they feel morally justifed, not legally justifed in their views on illegal immgrants.....

Note i say morally...because that is heart of the question, we killed and murdered native americans, destroyed thier civilazation, later took Spanish terrioritory that already had Mexican and Spanish and indigounous people on it and now complain that someone is coming into the country that shouldn't..............

I would go so far as to argue that this is not a immgration issue as the Mechica would roam the land.....I would go so far to say this is a miggration issue not an immgration issue...mechica have been on the land for thousands of years.......

for those who argue against history....ask them if the Isreal should exisist?

Most poeple don't get that many state names are in spanish, many cities are in spanish, maybe even the street is in spansih......

During WW2 we had mexican workers come in and help out, in the Bracero program...how quickly they forget.

We do not deport illegals, usually we just put them in prison for a while. Anyways the natives did not have a government setup in order to comprehend the invasion of their territory, but war.

why do you think there is any bearing on one issue from the other?

We built the economy and infrastructure, or it would look like the reservations. That isn't where people are breaking in.

The point is we pay for poor people to go to school and get services but those schools and services have to support our own people too. When there were a smaller number it was more manageable, but it has become a huge number and a huge drain on education and services. Since we pay for it we get to say who and how many can come.

The history of who took what country from whom is irrelevant.
