There is no love when your 12....what you feel is simple infatuation...once your alot older you will realize what you felt was not really love...love takes maturity

Because 12 is way to young to be in love and most 12 year olds are not looking for that kind of thing. Hell when i was 12 i just wanted to go out and spend time with my friends going to the movies, riding bikes, playing video games, you know stuff like that u got your whole life to fall in love give it time and enjoy your life while you are young it is a lot harder when u grow up. So dont try to grow up so fast enjoy being young some people dont get a chance to do that.

Because pretty much everything social is difficult at that age. Part of you feels like you have grown-up a lot, but part of you still feels like a kid. You want to be independent, but you want other people's approval. It's a challenging, transitional age - the 'tweens is an appropriate name for it. Right now you are just beginning to learn the social skills that you will use later in life (hopefully a few years later) for dating.

It might sound corny, but it's kinda like like riding a bike. You start with the training wheels, then take them off, and it's scary, but thrilling at the same time. Then you get better at that and eventually you're really confident. So you want some more thrills, and you decide to try some tricks on the bike... so you make a little ramp, and as you get better you try harder tricks. Sure, you fall down and get hurt a few times along the way, but you know the cut will heal, and you keep on riding.

So don't consider yourself hopeless every time the object of your affection doesn't feel the same way or says something rude. You just worry about becoming the person you really want to be. What are your hobbies or interests? Take classes, after school programs or clubs that involve things that you like to do. You'll make new friends there that share your interests and having something in common will help you feel more comfortable in social situations.

In time, you'll meet someone you like that likes you back. When that day comes, take the time to get to know them to be sure you like who they really are. And never compromise your values or ideals just to get someone else's approval; because someone who really likes you and cares about you wouldn't want you to do anything that goes against your values.

Hang in there, the day will come when you barely remember what happened when you were 12!

You have a long time to really discover what love really is. At 12 you have so much going on in your body and your mind that sometimes it is hard to separate everything into small packages. Even adults have a hard time doing that.
Enjoy being 12. Don't push growing up to fast. I do understand it is hard but you are a wonderful human being who will find life has lots to offer.
Make smart choices, take time, and learn the word "no" especially with peer pressure, find adults that you can trust to talk to, and most of all have fun.
Good luck.

It takes time to find out what love really means. It tookme u until my senior year of high school, which is this year to realize what love really means because I love my boyfriend very much and I cannot wait to talk to him again and see him again the next day. For you, just wait and love will find you whenever you are ready and then you will know that you have found love for the first time and it will be a special moment for you and treat your first love very good and your next love and all your loves because you will want to remember them for the rest of your life. Then you find the special someone and you will fall madly in love and get married and you will spend everyday making that person feel happy and glad that they picked you, that will make you happy as well. Just remember, be patient and love will find you, dont persue it, let it come to you.

I just posted something on this in Yahoo Answers...so read it...and truly think about it...

If you could take back the first time and every time inbetween that you said the three words that society takes so much for granted would you? Give me some reasons...

I would in a heartbeat...wouldn't it be quite the gift to give to the person you truly love beyond a doubt...and be like "baby...i've never ever told another person this..but I love you...I love you more then you will ever know!"

This is something for you kiddies to think about...before you drop those three little words prematurely...think about it...don't throw those words around...just think about all the brownie points you could score by saying what I wrote above...and truly meaning it. So if its to late to save sex for that special someone...maybe you can still save this virginity?

*Sigh* where was yahoo answers when I was 12...

Seriously...think about it...you have so much to learn yet in life...

Because you're 12. You haven't experienced life or fully developed a personality yet (I know, that sounds harsh, but its true). You don't know what you want and neither do anyone you could possibly be falling in recriprocating love with. Wait another 8-10 years and then ask this question again.

Most 12 year olds don't even know who the president is, let alone anything remotely close to what love is. Forget it, dude! Go throw a football. Go learn how to be a man, then worry about love.

Love is hard for people of all ages. It's even harder for somone as young as you because you are still learning about relationships. Just like anything else like walking, talking, reading etc. starting, keeping and ending relationship is a learning process. You will get better, just hang in there eventially love will be a breeze.

Because a 12 year old is too young to know what love truly is, horomones are starting to confuse them, they shouldn't even be thinking of love at that point in time.

At 12 years of age "Love" should be for only your family and friends. If this love goes beyond that you are much to young to understand what that love really is. At your age life should be close to the happiest it will ever be.

Talk to your mother about this........Please!
