They see it out of the corner or their eye and think it is something, I have been told by a dog breeder i know that you souldn't let your dog chase its tail its sends then crazy just tell them no, even though its funny put yourself in the dogs shoes (paws)

Give your dog toys, that is not a good sign if your dog chases his tail, he need mental stimulation, so buy your dog toys

It is moving. It has to do with their nature to hunt. they are literally trying to catch and kill their tail just as they would a rabbit.

its like a toy for them...especially when they're wagging it...my dog does it all the time, he thinks that its something chasing him...its pretty funny when you look at him
