Quotes from early 20th century ateists:
"It is scientifically impossible that it could have been made from nothing"
"It is scientifically impossible that it could have occurred in only 6 days"
Note: According to Big Bang, in 6 days the Universe was humungous !!

The Bible also referred to the Earth as a circle (or sphere) when wrong ideas about its shape were around.
Isaiah 40:22 There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth, the dwellers in which are as grasshoppers, the One who is stretching out the heavens just as a fine gauze, who spreads them out like a tent in which to dwell.
The Bible also claimed that the Earth hangs on nothing, where the rest of the world used to think a super human (or a huge elephant) was carrying the planet.
Job 26:7 He is stretching out the north over the empty place, Hanging the earth upon nothing.

For those of you who think Genesis is a myth try translating back to the original Hebrew. A day in Genesis wasn't like a typical day as we refer to it currently. A "Day" is considered to be a creative period. Not 24hours. So God basically created the heavens and the Earth during 6 creative periods. The Bible wasn't written in English but we do still have the original writings to refer to. The words without form and void In Hebrew are Tohu and Bohu. They are used together in normal usage to describe a chaotic situation. Like we use the words upside down or topsy turvy. Tohu and Bohu are Hebrew words used in Genesis to describe the conditions at the beginning of the Universe. Chaos. And out of Chaos came Order or the Creation or the Big Bang or whatever you choose to call it. The facts that we Christians have is that it was documented in the Bible eons before scientists figured it out. The Bible says that God created... There isn't anything that can cause me to not believe. I have studied it too much. Maybe some of you non believers should actually study this with more of an open mind. I study science with an open mind. I'm not going around saying that scientists are stupid even though they have a lot of disproven theories. They have some interesting discoveries that can't be ignored. I appreciate what they have discovered because believe it or not it actually helps me to explain the Bible and that it isn't a big fairytale. To me science is a reinforcement of my beliefs. I would guess that the ones who answered negatively don't even understand the science of it very well. They don't understand the Bible or science. That would make them people that dislike knowledge. You can tell by the intelligent responses. Please. If you guys are going to critique, make sure you have some talking points.

Um...you still have not read Zetatalk or the Oahspe on the big bang, big bangs are still happening today in other parts of the Universe and other dimensions
In fact Genesis as you may know is just a re working of old writings .Having sat trhough many creation talks and been a member of various societies and church idea's, it is good now all makes sense.
As to your mix up between Joshua and Johsu..the names are similar but that is all. In the Oahspe it clearly calls Jesus Joshu and married...the zeta have met him (may be on the council of world) and he told them himself about the children he had. had...And Johusua did not haev 12 disciples as Joshu living in community he being the chief Rabbi (Raboni)
ZetaTalk: re Big Bang
Note: written during the 2001 sci.astro debates.
Big Bangs affect vast areas, a fact which man is aware of as all he can see seems to have been affected by the same event. But prior to clumping and becoming dense, matter is more homogeneous and fluid and thus each atom more easily influenced. As in all events, something came first, and as in all events, something clumps or moves first, and this sets the stage for what follows. Explosions send things in all directions, so motion outward is rapid and has no brakes other than the matter that lies behind it. Thus, matter on the periphery has push behind it, and matter closer to the center of the Big Bang finds it has no push behind it, eventually. The center is a void, and thus nearby matter, from the inside out, starts returning to this void to escape the crowding it finds everywhere else.
As this matter returns, it interacts with other matter, attempting to equalize crowding. Even in homogeneous matter any motion, even on the sub-atomic level with a single atom on the move, creates a zigzag due to the pressure created when moving in any direction. Motion become circular, to develop a spin, when any inequality on either side of the zigzag occurs, such that the zig or zag is not simply back and forth, but takes a curve. During the time it takes for galaxies to form from a Big Bang, matter is fluid for a long enough time for the motion in the center to affect and establish the motion throughout. This takes the form of individual or local dramas, here and there, but the synchronized spin of galaxies stands as a mute witness to the fluidity of the spurt coming out of a Big Bang, and to the extent to which what is called Dark Matter, which we have termed tiny matter, exists as a glue binding the Universe together in ways mankind little understands.

You can warp and interpret your fairytales how ever you like.
Sometimes you can bend them far enough that a scientific principal would become acceptable (only because your bs myths can be aligned with them).
Other times you can't, and in that event you will just ignore facts.
The point is the big-bang happened.
Creation of the universe, earth, and life in 6 days did not.
ADDITION:
THe big-bang does NOT propose that hte universe started from nothing. It only postulates from a singularity. How that singularity came to be is not propsed by the big-bang.

Yeap, very amazing. Also how accurate the Bible is when it says earth is only 6000 years old.
Oh and how about accuracy of how night and days were created BEFORE sun and moon where by the way moon has it's own light, not a reflaction. Just amazing how accurate the Bible is when it comes down to all these scientific facts.

Scientists do not postulate that there was nothing.
The big bang postulates a cyclical universe that expands & collapses.
There was no creation, the universe(s) has always existed. The big bang was an event, it was not a creation.
