To clarify, how many people have faith and belief in their personal relationship with God - because of their convictions, study, experiences, and search for their relationship with God? Or, do you practice Christianity, Islam, Judiasm, Mormonism, Witchcraft, Satanism, etc. because you follow someone else's truth - family, friends, community, social, or cultural?

Good question. I wasn't raised as a polytheist and didn't meet another pagan until I was in my mid-twenties. Still, I had followed my heart and did what felt right to me. I just called my religion "other" because I didn't have a name for it. I was really shocked when I learned there were other people who felt the same way. It didn't matter to me then and still doesn't whether or not there are others who share my beliefs. My relationships with my deities are personal anyway and I will continue to honor them in the ways that my heart leads me to do.

I'm sorry but your faith is 2 thousand years old and it did nothing to stop the millions of deaths that were persecuted because it was used as a tool to destroy those that didn't see things the way they were laid out. You are here in America a Country that was stolen by trying to convince the people of a god that saves and then the messenger murdered them after stealing all his gold and land. What good did religions do the Indian and Hawaiian that followed these beliefs-nothing they became as white as the lies in the book that preached them!

In the four years since becoming a Christian, I have not had what I would consider to be a direct connection with God. I am Episcopalian due to the influence of my culture and friends. I believe strongly in science and the intellectual power of human beings, and I believe in, understand and promote the realities of evolution and the theory of the big bang. But the question of "why?" dogged me, especially after the birth of my son. Following teachers and friends who I respect, I joined them in a faith tradition that espouses a respect for scripture (the bible), tradition (the church back through St. Peter) and reason, man's capacity to consider his own circumstances and environment. Taking the bible as the "inerrant word of God" forces you to make a lot of unreasonable responses to your environment, like not believing in dinosaurs. Why would God give us intellectual capabilities and then not allow us to use them?

I was raised in a different religion that did did not foster a relationship with the Divine. Many years ago I had an encounter with The Goddess that left me stunned (the love I felt was unbelievable). I have since focused on developing that relationship and learning how to be more and more in touch with her.

I am a Christian and God has done a whole lot for me even when things have seemed tubulent.

For instance God has spared me from falling on slippery ice when riding my bike on it as well as sparing me from Injury when I got hit by a Car.

Good question. The answer would be ..."What you believe is what you will experience". So if I were to have a deep faith in God being a buffallo, he will manifest as a buffallo for me. Simply put, God is "All that is" and "All that is" can manifest in any form or name or size or shape because there is nothing in the cosmos that is NOT "All that is".

Your personal relationship with Jesus Christ is what makes you a Christian. If you are truly a Christian then you know that the rest are just something to read about.

I am always trying to figure out my relationship with God.

I am Jewish. I am not very religious but fairly so. I say my prayers, try to be a better person, and hope/pray for the best!

I believe in Jesus Christ because the evidence demonstrates that the Bible is historical and that it is the word of God.
