this n. korea stuff is scaring me. i,m thinking nuclear war!

Don't worry.... if there is a nuclear war, it will all be over in a few minutes.... however, those of us(if any) lucky enough to live through it will wish we were dead, and most likely kill ourselves. Thus, the path will be cleared for the entrance of a (hopefully) more intelligent species(in a few billion years or so). So I guess lets pull the band-aid off quickly and just get it over with.

Well it doesn't work, and if it did it wouldn't be strong enough to carry the heavy primative nuclear weapons they say they have. They'd be able to launch a medium range missle at Japan or South Korea capable of carrying those bombs, and we'd go to war big time if they did, but they've been able to do that for five years.

They'd have loved for this to have worked, but that's not really why they tested it. They launched a bunch of dif type missles as an infomercial to the folks they've previously sold missles & technology to (Iran is on that list). Secondly, they'd like for the world to give them a second round of "incentives" to quit threatening folks - as the Clinton admin did with them previously & they developed nukes & missles anyway, just as the world is currently offering to Iran.

Relax. China can already blow the hell out of you, just as Russia has been able to do for a generation. North Korea is 8-10 years away from that ability. We'll have finished missle defense by then, & of course we've always been able to blow the hell out of them. It's a concern, but there are more imediate problems going on right now.

Don't be scared. N. Korea does not have a missile with enough range to reach California (all of those 'maximum range' projections assume that it is not carrying a warhead). Of course that is if they can keep it from blowing up and if it manages to penetrate our ABM defenses.

A nuclear war with N. Korea will be very short and very one sided. They know this.

Nope. Not gonna happen. In North Korea's position, it is certain that if they were to attack, their country would, as a matter of pride, be destroyed by us. And from what I've researched it doesn't seem like we'll be running in there anytime soon.

So, the guys in North Korea know that if they use their missiles they lose their dictator powers...and if they sit on them with pride, everybody stays the same.

Don't worry and remember that missiles from Korea would fly over Alaska because of the curve of the earth so they could hit Seattle First and if you live in southern California they could hit Chicago before they could hit you.

You must be quite young and inexperienced. North Korea is shaking its cup and looking for some spare change. The mistake is for any country to give them a dime.

I am not scared If it gets to bad that cool scientist guy in Japan will push that button and Godzilla will step on that bunch of dog eaters! And if that don't happen they run a bigger risk of blowing their own country up then they do ours

last time i checked, they didn't try to fire at Sweden. but americans shouldn't worry because they have the LG-118A Peacekeeper Missle... a long range M.I.R.V missle containing 8 nuclear warheads... i'm pretty sure the US is prepared for this
