To be honest with you, when I used that term, it usually meant I was stringing her along, and didn't want to be with her. It may be different for other men, but it is likely that he doesn't want to be around you all the time. That may not be a bad thing, as couples don't have to spend every minute of the day together, as that can take some of the fun away. Absence makes the heart grow stronger.

What do you think it means? That he's joining the NASA program and becoming an astronaut?
When a man needs space, that means whatever situation he's in, he's ready to get out of it and get some space between him and you.

If he is around u all the time, how can he miss u!!! That is one side. The other side is that he need his space to see other people. The only way to know is to test him. If u keep trying to be close and he keeps pushing u away. He is cheating. But sometimes u just need to be alone but that is only for a short period.

It may mean stop calling him all the time or bitching every time he goes out with his friends, like some of you gals like to do. Get too possessive and demanding and it's a good way to chase a guy away. Maybe every time you two meet, your always arguing, happens all the time with couples. Doesn't make for a nice relationship if you know that every time you go to meet your girlfriend, she's gonna go off on you about trivial stuff every time.

It can mean many things. You may smoother him too much in phone calls or his time, he may be loosing interest, he may want less arguing, or he is ready for a change. Ask him to explain, don't guess. He may lie a little in order not to hurt your feelings, but he will give you the gist of the problem.

Translation: we aren't going to make it because it is not working for me. This is usually accompanied with the line, "You can do so much better than me, I owe it to you to allow you space to find what is right for you." All this is usually said with a great deal of sadness showing on their face..but don't mistake sadness for "damn, I wish I were out of here now." Sorry to be so blunt, but that is really what his going on . The very best of luck to you, you will be just fine...perhaps he is right...you do deserve better..so go get it!

A man needs time to himself to get things done without a
distraction. To do what he wants to do without you. Women
are always asking questions, honey can you help me, take
the kids to mcdonalds etc. Just give him some space and do not bother him.

It could mean one of two things: Either
#1 You Smother him, and are too close for his comfort, an he feels that he needs to spend more time with friends and/or family. or
#2 He's trying, in a nice way, to brake-up with you.

it means (at least when I've heard it used by my friends):
1. I've moved on and forgot to tell you.
2. I'm having sex with everyone BUT you.
3. I've found someone else (as seen above)
4. Your nice, but I want HOT
5. Your HOT, but I want SLUTTY
6. Next time you see me, just nod and walk on by
7. this list can go on all day . . .
