As a New Jerseian, I am as upset about this budget thing as someone can be. The reason it's happened is because the State Legislature is not agreeing with what the Governor wants. So, in retaliation for not doing his bidding, the Governor has closed the entire state (state employees are not allowed to work) after forcing the gov't to work on the 4th of July. Thus, becuase they have to have state regulators on the floor at all times to operate, the casinos are very mad, becuase they cannot operate until the state has started functioning again.
Partisian politics with a governor who is crying because the legislature isn't doing what he wants.

Political parties fighting & using buget as leverage. Happens from local to federal levels with budget fights. usually they temporarily fund the goverment. The casinos at Atlantic City hate it!
