The cookies you are asking about are made by Pepperage Farms. I believe they are still on the market unless the company discontinued the ones you are asking about.

I know which cookies you mean... They were called Chew Chews (I don't think that's how they were spelled but I was in single digits in the 70s). I love those cookies!!! I wish they were still around.
