My dogs teeth are very, very, very well taken care of and yet his teeth still are gross and have pluaqe build up! please give me tips. He's a medium sized dog, and I know that larger dog breeds don't really have many teeth problems.

You will have to get his teeth cleaned. I will have to get my dog Haley's teeth cleaned sometime this year. Plaque builds up on our teeth even though we brush ours to? I called the vet yesterday & it is $86.00.. She just got spayed yesterday so sometime in the next few months I will get her teeth cleaned.

As dogs age, their teeth get darker. It's completely normal, this might be what you are seeing. If you brush their teeth, feed them dry kibble type dog food and see a vet for a dental every year, there is nothing to worry about.

Sounds like you need to take your dog to the vet and have his teeth cleaned. Some dogs need this done yearly.

Have the vet clean his teeth, then buy some greenies. It helps keep the teeth clean and the breath fresh.

Seriously, take him to have his teeth cleaned. Good hard knuckle bones from the butcher to chew on, and use enzymatic toothpaste for dogs. You dont really need to scrub with that , just get it on their teeth.

My dogs love greenies and they say that they fight plaque build up. I would say they are worth a try. Check the source. It has info about greenies and sells them.
