someone that is there for you, someone that doesnt care if you land yourself in jail, they will still help you, someone who loves you no matter what,someone who stays with you at the hospital if you get hurt, someone who doesnt judge you or put you down.

Family to me is not just the same blood running through our veins. It is a group of people who love each other, are there to support each other, and want what is best for each other. I know personally I have some friends who I am much closer to than my actual family. So to me, they are my family also!

Family. The people that you are closest to, whether you share DNA or not. The people that support you, love you and care for you unconditionally. For example, I consider my best friend my 'sister' but not my older brother who has not been around for over 14 years.

The most basic unit of society... A home, there are rules, disciplinary actions, and most of all, love and respect...

It doesn't have to be the "normal" family with a mommy and daddy and two and a half kids...that is way too 1950.
Family can be dad and dad or mom and mom...or just mom or a dad...
Or...just friends...it just depends
