Nothing.
"North Korea" doesn't want to attacking US. They tested some missiles and its a part of their defensive projects, also they want to be able to lunch satellites.
All of these news are propaganda. US needs some excuses to interference in other countries, while they are invading and occupying some others (Iraq and Afghanistan).
If US doesn't threat other independent countries nobody won't threat US.

Step 1.
Ban any US diplomat or government official from talking to anyone from N. Korea, or knows someone from N. Korea. Last thing you want is fuel on the fire.
Step 2.
Find a nation that is friendly to both countries to act as a go-between to restrain the situation.
Step 3.
Provide aid and education to N. Korea. They are unlikely to blow up anyone who is giving them free stuff and is their friend. If their people were more broadly educated there would be more chance of the people rising up in some sort of coup.

1. Sanctions aimed at forcing them to give up the current path, preferably to overthrow the govt from within, but at very least guranteeing no military technology/equip comes in & that they don't sell such equip/tech to folks like Iran as they've done in the past.
2. Hold in place.
3. Deal with current threats
4. Force change in N Korea over time with a breaking point in 8-10 years. These things take time, and they are slowed by nuclear threats. You have to be careful not to make them so desperate they use the stuff, but desperate enough they give in to change.

Unless they harm an allied country, or us, nothing.
They DID launch test missiles which is making us scratch our heads, but they didn't launch an attack. We should send some military intelligence there to figure out whats going on, if they are planning something, like a nuclear missile or bomb, we should try to sabotage it, or convince them not to launch it because it will start a WW3

leave them alone depsite their attention seeking ways, let them dig their own graves and send increasingly more 'test' missiles into the Japanese ocean, let the world get more pissed off with them, build up a case and move into to kick kim jong il's butt
or at least get him to be more responsible in his global actions. and start treating his people better

i would leave them alone. because if we mess with them china is behind them they have the nukes too! so i would be very careful.

We can't do everything for everybody- they can figure it out and I would leave them alone.
