Why do more women in their late 30s early 40s seem to want friendship more than a relationship these days?

I think it's because the failure rate for marriage is very high and therefore the figure why tie myself down... I can have as many friends as I want and live my own life without having to cater nor respond to any one man!!!
We are a lot more liberal now a days in other words!

I don't think you're talking to the right ladies. I'm in my early 30's and I've got enough friends.

It is a lot safer to be single and you can have what you want and do what you want instead of finding onesself in a quasi-suvserviant position as most wives are. It is probably better to be a mistress. More equality and better treatment.

because their smart and they have been hurt more times then younger girls.
