After living in the USSR/Russian Federation for much of my life, I've moved to Canada and frequently visit the U.S., and I have noticed many people who are mining up their nose! If a Russian did this in Russia, he would be ridiculed to no end. Besides, that's what Kleenex are for, and they are nice quality here in North America; some people here don't use them, and it makes me wonder why since digging for gold up the nose is pretty gross and dangerous (germs, pop vessels, etc.). Just curious about whether this is a cultural difference...
