You don't. The loss will always be with you. You just have to accept it and move on. I lost my grandparents (they were murdered), I lost my inheritance to greedy people (didn't have the money to hire a lawyer) and I lost my self-respect and drank heavily. Now, I survived...I'm back on my feet, I'm living. But the sadness will always remain. I just don't let it affect me. Good luck kid.

Try to remember all of the good times. Go out with friends and try to have fun. Never allow yourself to be alone when you feel really bad. Talk to somebody about what you're going through, many times talking helps a lot when a person is grieving.

Thankfully, not many people can answer that from experience. I really feel for you. From my experience grieving (but never from something as horrible as this): You definitely have to let yourself grieve. After you've gone through enough of that, focus on something outside of yourself. Try caring for another person or an animal - maybe rescue animals. I know that it will be difficult. Good luck.

No matter how bad it gets, someone else has it worse......you need to be happy that you have your health, the birds singing, the smell of fresh cut grass, bright warm sunshine, and your whole life ahead of you. Lots of people don't even have these. You can! Wake up each day and try something different.
